Bill Clifton, AKA “The Science Rebel,” challenges traditional scientific thought and explores our natural world from a creationist, biblical worldview. His passion for sharing God’s creation is exciting for children and adults alike! For over 30 years, he has taught science, Bible, and creation classes for public, Christian, and home schools. He was head of SeaWorld Orlando’s Education Department and Minister of Education in a local church before he and wife Merilee founded Science Partners in 2000, offering creation-based science classes for homeschoolers and leading Creation Adventures.
Bill’s education includes B.S. degree (Biology major – University of Alabama), Master of Science Education (Florida Institute of Technology), and Master of Divinity (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary).
He served on Florida Department of Education’s Science Advisory Board; created World of the Sea badge for Junior Girl Scouts; has spoken at conventions for Florida Parent-Educators Association, Florida Association of Science Teachers, National Marine Science Educators, and more; lead teacher workshops; has been interviewed for radio, television, newspapers, and magazines; and authored curriculum including “Life in the Sea” for Florida 4-H.
Bill and Merilee are Florida Master Naturalists, Florida Fish and Wildlife facilitators; and certified Aquatic Science Educators through Florida Marine Science Educators. They were science editors for The Aquarium Guide and edited articles for Answers magazine. They co-authored The Complete Aquarium Adventure: A Field Trip in a Book, published by New Leaf Press, the world’s largest publisher of creation materials. They were featured on “Ask the Expert” at www.CreationConversations.com and guest bloggers for www.TheHomeschoolScientist.com.
