​This talk gives an overview of the creation vs. evolution controversy and explains why it is so important to view the Bible as the final authority in all matters and that there is never any conflict between the Bible and science… just between the Bible and some scientist’s opinions. Creation vs. Evolution – The Case from Science:
It is often claimed that living in an age of modern science makes it intellectually impossible to accept the straight-forward account of creation as read in the book of Genesis. Is this true, or is this just what we are “supposed to believe”? What does the evidence actually indicate? “Creation vs. Evolution: The Case from Science” is an exciting presentation (in layman’s terms) of evidences for creation and challenges to evolution in three main areas: origin of the universe, origin of life, and origin of species.

Certain questions seem to arise very frequently regarding the creation/evolution controversy and this talk addresses the Top 10. It is an extremely popular presentation because it covers such a wide variety of pressing issues in single talk.

Evolution: Probable or Problematic?:
Certain aspects of evolution occasionally seem fairly plausible to many people… even Christians. If we use our imagination, we can envision fish slowly turning into amphibians, with their fins gradually being transformed into legs and their lungs adapting to breathing air. However, when we take a closer look at what actually has to go on inside (in the DNA) we see a very different picture. It’s like looking under the hood of a beautiful red sports car only to find that its engine is completely missing! It is a common misconception that skeptics base all their beliefs on “facts”, while Christians simply have “faith” which amounts to nothing more than wishful thinking and belief in fairytales… or as Mark Twain stated, “Faith is believing in what you know ain’t so!” This presentation shows just how incorrect this view truly is and also powerfully equips Christians to share and defend their faith without having to memorize lots of facts or have degrees in science. It is very encouraging, eye-opening and easy for all to understand.

Dinosaurs & the Bible:
Dinosaurs are both extremely fascinating and also the source of much confusion when it comes to trying to comprehend their place in God’s creation and the Bible. The media often paint a picture that is difficult to reconcile with our understanding of the Bible, so many have concluded that the Bible doesn’t mention dinosaurs or have even gone as far as to say that they never really existed! This talk takes a look at the true history of dinosaurs, expels the myths and shows that the Bible explains the actual scientific evidence much better than any secular evolutionary stories. This talk is especially interesting to children, but adults will also be extremely intrigued.

How to College-Proof Your Faith:
As mentioned in one of our other presentations, it is an alarming fact that up to 75% (or more) of Christian students end up walking away from their faith before they leave college! Why is this happening? What can be done? This dynamic presentation helps expose what the real issues are, as opposed to implying that college itself is the root of the problem. It is a very encouraging talk that will help students be prepared for the challenges they will face (or are facing), without being intimidated or terrified by the thought of going off to college.

Evangelism: By the Book:
If we are to effectively evangelize and encourage others to consider the existence of God and the trustworthiness of His Word, we need to “know our audience” very well. The best way to know our audience is not so much to do our own evaluation and analysis, but to see what God Himself tells us about them. If we don’t have a proper biblical understanding of where they are coming from, we will not be as effective as we could be when attempting to share the Gospel message.

Creation in Six Days? A Biblical & Scientific Analysis:
Christians are often fairly united when it comes to the creation vs. evolution controversy. However, when it comes to the age of the Earth and “creation in six days”, there are differing views and often emotionally-charged debates, primarily because of how misunderstood this topic is. This presentation clearly demonstrates that even though the age of the Earth is certainly not the most important concept in the Bible, it is a significant issue and can also be discussed in a very gracious, God-honoring manner, allowing the Holy Spirit to be the ultimate arbiter of Truth, as opposed to being forced to rely on “experts” (including the presenter) to tell us what we’re supposed to believe.

Creation to Christ – The Old Testament in a Nutshell:
Most Christians know a fair amount about Jesus, but aren’t too familiar with the Old Testament. It is often perceived as a collection of disconnected, difficult to understand stories that have little relevance to our lives today or even the Gospel message. However, far from just being a good source for finding occasionally entertaining children’s stories (e.g. Jonah and the “Whale”), it actually represents real history and is foundational to the Christian faith.
