Do We Live in an Alien Simulation?
Secular scientists are increasingly endorsing the idea that we live in a computer simulation being run by aliens; a proposal driven by a need to explain away the overwhelming evidence for design in the cosmos. While this idea might seem ridiculous, media stories portray it as being factual, and it is starting to catch on in popular culture (especially among youth). This talk discusses the evidence for fine-tuning and design in the Universe, how secular scientists try to explain it away with the multiverse hypothesis, and ultimately with alien simulation theory. The presentation ends by showing that this all has absurd implications, and shows significant hypocrisy among secular scientists — but these scientists are endorsing it anyway, because it’s the only alternative to Creation, which they reject.
Our Created Solar System:
Did our Solar System form from a cloud of gas, billions of years ago? Or is it consistent with the Creation account in Genesis instead? This presentation goes planet by planet through our Solar System, showing how they all serve as beautiful testimonies to our Creator.
The James Webb Space Telescope and Creation:
Secular models fail to account for the origin of stars and galaxies — essentially, the contents of the entire Universe. Instead, the heavens demonstrate the glory of the Lord. Recent discoveries by the JWST have significantly worsened this problem for secular theorists.
Our Created Universe:
Did the Universe form in a random Big Bang event? Or is it instead the work of a Designer? This presentation explores the cosmos and shows how it declares the Lord’s glory in many ways, proclaiming His handiwork while also forcing atheists to deny the laws of physics in their models. The cosmos is not the result of natural processes; it is clearly the work of our wonderful Creator, as Romans 1 says.
Creation in the Heavens: Perceiving God’s Glory through Astronomy:
A one-hour overview of creation astronomy. If Genesis were a true account of history, what would we expect to see in the cosmos? In the heavenly bodies, we’d be able to see evidence of youth, evidence of design, evidence against secular origin models, and perhaps even evidence for Creation within the laws of physics themselves. This talk will show that we do indeed observe all of these things.
Distant Starlight and Biblical Creation:
We see stars and galaxies that are so far away, it seems their light would need millions or even billions of years for the light to reach us. Many people have used this to challenge the idea that the heavens and Earth were created merely thousands of years ago. This talk shows how this seemingly straightforward challenge relies on multiple assumptions being true—and at least one of them is false. Furthermore, it is not Biblical Creation which is disproved by distant starlight. It turns out that the Big Bang model has a fatal ‘light travel time’ problem of its own. The vastness of the cosmos does not disprove the Bible–instead, it supports the glory of our Creator.
Biology Confirms Biblical Creation:
What does biology—the study of life—tell us about our origins? Among secular scientists today, the majority opinion is neo-Darwinism; that life evolves from natural selection of mutations. This presentation gives an overview of this model, and then shows why it’s impossible. Contrary to secular claims, biology confirms that we are descendants of Adam and Eve, who were supernaturally created thousands of years ago.
Defeating Atheism with Science:
This shows Christians how to defend their faith against any scientific claim from an atheist, even without knowing the details of that particular claim—because science itself disproves atheism. This presentation discusses seven fundamental assumptions about the Universe that are necessary for science to work. All of these assumptions are consistent with Biblical Christianity, but are denied by an atheistic worldview. Atheism, when taken to its logical conclusion, denies the fundamental assumptions and requirements of science. Therefore, if science is a valid method of discovering the truth about the Universe — in other words, if science works — then atheism must be false, while conversely, the Bible provides a solid foundation for scientific discovery. Along with the concepts being discussed, this presentation discusses some specific evidence for the creation viewpoint and against the secular viewpoint. Overall, it’s meant to equip the audience with straightforward questions and things to discuss with unbelievers.
Speak to the Earth:
Does the Earth’s geologic record contain evidence for millions of years of history? Or were all the layers deposited recently in a global Flood? This talk shows how the flood described in Genesis chapters 6 and 7 is the best explanation for the layers we see in the Earth, and the fossils that they contain.
Thermodynamics Confirms Creation:
Many Christians have wondered if the “2LoT” (the Second Law of Thermodynamics, sometimes summarized as “entropy will always increase”) is the outcome of the Curse placed upon the world because of Adam’s sin. This non-technical and accessible talk will discuss what the laws of thermodynamics are, what entropy is (most people misunderstand these concepts), and how they are not the result of the Curse. Instead, when we consider these principles and apply them to the world around us, we see powerful confirmation that a supernatural Creator is responsible for the Universe’s existence, that life requires an intelligent Designer, and even that the Earth (along with other planets in our Solar System) are only thousands of years old, not billions.
Trusting the Bible:
Skeptics correctly point out that there are at least 400,000 variations — “mistakes” — in the New Testament manuscripts that we have today. So how can Christians claim to have God’s Word today, when the text has clearly been thoroughly corrupted? This presentation debunks that argument, showing that the Lord has indeed preserved the Bible through history, and even though we don’t have the original manuscripts today, we do know what they said. This talk also includes a discussion of historical evidence for the Resurrection.
