Tim Whalen grew up in the Catholic Church but came to a genuine saving faith in Jesus Christ during a short-term mission trip to Honduras in 2006. Since that life-changing experience, his walk with the Lord has been marked by steady spiritual growth and an increasing passion for God’s Word and the truth of Biblical Creation.

For several years, Tim lived near the Creation Museum and was deeply impacted by the teaching ministry of Answers in Genesis. Through studying Genesis and Creation apologetics, he developed a strong conviction that Genesis 1–11 is foundational to understanding the rest of Scripture — especially the Gospel message.

After recently moving back to Illinois, Tim accepted the position of President of the Midwest Creation Fellowship. His desire is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through preaching and teaching, helping people understand the authority of Scripture and the importance of Genesis in defending the Christian faith.

Tim loves discussing Creation, Biblical truth, and the evidence supporting God’s Word. God has given him a sincere burden to help people see the truth and grow in confidence in Jesus Christ.

Tim has been married to his wife, Tracie, for 34 years. Together they have four children: Jordan (Jennie), Jessica, Ethan, and Evan.
